Introduction: Microhost is the first cloud infrastructure provider in INDIA, which delivers different kind of cloud products. We are going to explain all the product and feature individually. So let’s get started.
While login into Microhost cloud dashboard it appears as like the below screenshot:-
As per the above screenshot you can see the list of product as below:
Cloud Server
Load Balancer
Enterprise VPN
Cloud Firewall
Managed DNS
Monitoring
We will discuss about each feature individually in brief. So, Getting Starting with Cloud Server
Cloud Server
Introduction: A cloud server is powerful physical or virtual infrastructure that performs application- and information-processing storage. Cloud servers are created using virtualization software to divide a physical (bare metal) server into multiple virtual servers. Organizations use an infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) model to process workloads and store information. They can access virtual server functions remotely through an online interface.
How to deploy new cloud server
Prerequisite for deploying the server:
User should have the account registered on Microhost.com
User should have funds/credit/balance in his account.
If you don’t have the account then you can sign up to microhost.com while clicking the below link
Server Deployment steps are given below:
Step 1: Login to microhost.com to deploy the server, afterward dashboard will look like the below screenshot.
Click on this to deploy New Cloud Server
Step 2: Click on deploy server, where you will get the option to select the Datacenter, OS Version, Server Name, Cloud configurations etc.
Step 3: We need to select the Datacenter location first afterward we will select the Operating System, and then the configuration.
Step 4 : In the above screenshot we can see the backup option , we can select that weekly backup if required. However, there are many backup plans are present as you need to reach to sales department for more backup plan details.
Step 5: We can also see the option of SSH Key in above screenshot. This is a authentication key which is used to access the SSH without Username and Password. If you want then you can add this feature too.
Step 6 : Lastly we need to click on deploy cloud Server. The Deployment process can take 10 to 20 minutes afterward, the login credentials would be sent on your registered email id. You can refer the below Screenshot for the reference.
Step 7: After the completion of server creation, we need to check the mailbox of registered email id. The email subject will be New cloud Server Details, where we can find the login credentials of the server.
Step 8: We can access the server using console, but best way to access the cloud server is to access it remotely. You can access the server by following the below document.

Feature which can be used to manage cloud server
There are multiple feature that can be used to manage the Cloud Server. These feature are explained below:
This is used to see the Server resource uses like ( Bandwidth, Cpu, Ram, Etc)
This is used to access the server using console and you can reset the password as well
To is used for power management of server( Power off , Reboot, Hard reboot)
This option is used to manage Private IP and RDNS
This option is used to upgrade and downgrade of cloud server
This option is used to format the cloud server
This option is used to download and manage the OS ISOs.
This option is used to add and delete the additional storage
This option is used to manage weekly backups
This option is used to create and manage server snapshots
This option is used to create Cloud Firewall
This option is used to delete the cloud server permanently
Now we will discuss each feature in details :
Graphs
Graphs are used to track all type of resource utilization of the server like (Bandwidth uses, I/O uses, Cpu Uses etc.) .
Access
This option is used to access the console as well as for reset the password:
Power
This option is used for power management. We can perform different task like (Shutdown, Power On, Restart, Hard Reboot etc)
Networking
We can see the networking details of the server like (Ip address , Subnet, gateway etc.) as well as we can configure RDNS (Reverse Dns) in this option. Additionally , we can also assign private IP for our server.
Resize
This option is responsible for Upgrade & Downgrade of the server. There are two type of plan one is RAM & CPU Plans only and another one is RAM ,CPU & STORAGE Plans. RAM & CPU plans have the functionality that, it can be upgraded as well as downgraded. However, RAM ,CPU & STORAGE Plans can be upgraded but it can’t be downgrade.
Rebuild
This option is used to Rebuild the server. While rebuild all the current data would be deleted . In this process firstly, we have to select the operating system which we want to install on the server , and we have to copy and paste a security text given over there. However, The configuration of the server will be the same as earlier.
ISO
This section is used to create a server using custom ISO. You need to download the ISO image in your account using URL afterward you can use that ISO for server deployment.
Note: The server will be created using ISO at the same location, where the ISO had been downloaded earlier.
